Sam Mitchell is Director of Publicity at Zando, where he oversees media planning, author tours, and public relations strategy across all imprints and partnerships. He brings more than a decade of experience leading national publicity campaigns for bestselling fiction and non-fiction authors.

Previously, Sam led campaigns at Penguin Press and literary PR agency, Hilsinger-Mendelson, for writers including Michael Pollan, Edward Enninful, Sherry Turkle, Jane Fonda, Wright Thompson, Ocean Vuong, Fran Lebowitz, and Werner Herzog. He began his publishing career at W. W. Norton & Company, where he collaborated on campaigns for authors such as Michael Lewis, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Chris Hayes, and Richard Powers.

At Zando, Sam focuses on amplifying distinctive voices and positioning books at the center of cultural conversation.
