Christopher King joined Zando in 2024 with more than sixteen years of experience shaping distinctive visual identities in publishing. Most recently, he served as Associate Art Director at Penguin Press, where he designed covers for more than a dozen New York Times Bestsellers and collaborated with authors including Maggie Haberman, Mark Leibovich, Dahlia Lithwick, Steve Coll, Emily Oster, and Henry Louis Gates Jr.

Earlier in his career, Christopher was Art Director at Melville House, where his work was featured seven times in the AIGA/Design Observer 50 Books/50 Covers exhibition. Print Magazine described his covers as “some of the most easily recognizable since Penguin’s orange spines.”
