Caolinn Douglas

Caolinn Douglas joined Zando in 2021 as a foundational member of the editorial team. She acquires upmarket and literary fiction, along with select narrative nonfiction, drawn to ambitious yet accessible writing with a strong sense of place and subversive perspectives on home, identity, capitalism, and social politics.

Her titles have been named Best Book of the Year by outlets including NPR, Vox, Marie Claire, Bustle, and Spotify, and selected as Amazon Editors’ Choice picks. They have been finalists for the Center for Fiction First Novel Prize and Washington Book Award, and winners of Lambda Literary and Publishing Triangle awards, as well as the Walter Scott Prize for Historical Fiction. In 2025, Caolinn was named a Publishers Weekly Star Watch Honoree.

Born in New York and raised in London, Caolinn is a graduate of the University of Edinburgh. Prior to Zando, she worked at Little, Brown Book Group in the UK and Bookouture.

At Zando, she champions distinctive, place-driven fiction that feels both literary and urgent.
